Paideia Academy is a private classical school recognized for its tight-knit community and classical curriculum.. Catering to students from Pre-K through 12th grade, it offers a comprehensive educational experience grounded in literary principles.
Though the school had tight knit parents and lower school families, older students and their parents didn't feel very connected. To address this, I created a system and service within the student body to encourage smaller group loyalties. This helped build pride in the school, even though it was small and not well-known.
The new infrastructure was based on the Oxbridge House model, which creates strong loyalties through intramural and other house-centered activities. We used the term halls and suffused all of student-life with these micro-loyalties.
The system required clear guidelines and feedback procedures to achieve full implementation and adoption. Therefore, it was not limited to sports and fun but included comprehensive discipline and leadership structures
